Hey there! Welcome to Undercover Bookworm! It’s a place where I can share my fondness for reading books, so this would basically be a blog for book reviews, some creative writing stuff, and maybe a hint of random thoughts here and there. Reviews of movies based on books may also appear once in a while. The idea is to keep my reviews as simple and as short as I possibly can. I’ll also try my best to avoid including any spoilers in my reviews, but if there are any spoilers present, I’ll be sure to place a warning.
Who am I? Hi, I’m Hazy May. I’ve loved reading books since I was a little girl, beginning with fairy tales, Greek myths, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, then gradually moving up to classics and other genre of books required to be read in English and literature classes in school. The library was one of my favorite places when I was in school.
I read different kinds of books, but I’m quite partial to crime/mystery novels as well as mythology, fantasy and adventure. I also enjoy reading children’s literature and young adult fiction books.
Why “Undercover Bookworm,” you ask? Well, I’m a fan of the mystery genre: spies, crime dramas, investigations and the like. So, I guess that’s part of the reason why the word “undercover” appealed to me. The “bookworm” part is easy to explain. I simply love reading books.
Do I follow a blogging schedule? Sort of. I try to write a new blog entry at least once a week (often weekdays). It’s usually a Thoughts in Haiku post and/or a Book Review, sometimes with Random Babbles or Events (rarely) in between.
There are only basically two rules that I’d ask you to follow:
- Always remember to be courteous and be respectful of others’ opinion to avoid unnecessary conflicts and misunderstandings.
- No spamming or trolling, please.
Feel free to browse around. Thanks for taking the time to drop by! =)
