Out of hiatus… Sort of

It’s been a long while since I last updated, and I haven’t read much books since. I’ve been so caught up with work and many other stressful and non-stressful things. I’ve gone through quite a few of life’s challenges too, and I’d like to think I’ve learned a lot and am now somehow much smarter and wiser. And I believe the best is yet to come.

Oh, right, update: I’ll probably post a book review soon.

Thank you for continuing to visit and read this blog.

Have a happy and lovely 2016, everyone! 🙂

Farewell, 2014. Hello, 2015!

Hello, 2015! Goal: Read 30 books this year.

Do you have a reading goal too?

For the year 2014, I was only able to read 11 new books even though I aimed for 30. Mainly because I got very busy with work and I kept re-reading my favorite books. The competitive side of me is pretty bummed about this, so this new year, I’ll aim for the same number of 30 new books and try harder to achieve that goal.

[Random Babbles] Holidays and updates

Hi everyone! Just a quick update.

Yes, I am still alive 😀 Life has been busy these past few months, so I haven’t had the time to post stuff or read new books (I am finishing up work in one company and heading to a new one in a week!). I’m so behind on the 2014 Reading Challenge, the competitive side of me is bummed about it.

Anyhoo, in the spirit of the holiday season, I’ll be doing a 12 days of Christmas series of posts with a book recommendation and a Christmas song, starting tomorrow. 🙂

I hope to post reviews again soon when the new year starts. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

[Travel Tales] Of Lions and Merlions

Weatherly’s Travel Tales: Singapore

Hazy keeps bugging me to post about our my travels (I think it’s because she hasn’t got anything to post). So, here I go!

Hazy went on a short trip to Singapore again a few weeks ago for a quick vacation, and I, Weatherly, stealthily stowed in her luggage to tag along. I had to leave my katanas at home because of flight restrictions and such, but my bare paws are good enough, says Hazy. We had a nice trip.

We went to different places on different days. I don’t remember them in order, so what I’ll write is pretty random.

[Random Babbles] Happy Easter!

Hello. Yes, I am still alive! 😀

I’ve been swamped with work lately, and internet connection at home has been down and then wonky. Hence, using my mobile phone (wordpress for windows phone is ok, but definitely needs improvement) today. As soon as my internet connection at home is up and running again, I’ll be posting a book review. It’s been a while since one’s been posted, hasn’t it?

Anyway, just wanted to do a quick post to greet everyone a Happy Easter! May you and yours continue to be showered with blessings!

P.S. Weatherly says hi. He’s enjoying the chunky tomato soup I made for lunch.

[Random Babbles] Whatcha cookin’?

This year, I’m trying to cook and eat healthier meals, especially on weekends when I get the chance to have a little downtime. And my menu over the past weekend was tofu scramble with onions and black olives. It tastes good with bread. Yummers!

Weatherly is not a big fan of tofu, but he tried some so I wouldn’t feel bad. He said it tasted better than he thought, but he wants anchovies added next time. Maybe someday, I said.

What I like about tofu scramble is you can add in anything you want. I was originally planning to put in tomatoes, but I didn’t realize I was out of tomatoes until I was preparing the ingredients in the kitchen. 😆  And to make up for the lack of tomatoes, I bought a lot of them today. So for weekend #2, I will attempt to make some tomato soup.

Have a nice weekend!
