This year, I’m trying to cook and eat healthier meals, especially on weekends when I get the chance to have a little downtime. And my menu over the past weekend was tofu scramble with onions and black olives. It tastes good with bread. Yummers!
Weatherly is not a big fan of tofu, but he tried some so I wouldn’t feel bad. He said it tasted better than he thought, but he wants anchovies added next time. Maybe someday, I said.
What I like about tofu scramble is you can add in anything you want. I was originally planning to put in tomatoes, but I didn’t realize I was out of tomatoes until I was preparing the ingredients in the kitchen. 😆 And to make up for the lack of tomatoes, I bought a lot of them today. So for weekend #2, I will attempt to make some tomato soup.
Have a nice weekend!
Hazy is swamped with work, so she hasn’t been able to post much lately. And as her trusty ninja cat, I, Weatherly, took the liberty of posting something new here (sweet of me, isn’t it?).
I realize it’s been months since my last mission report for book acquisitions. So, here you go.
Hello, 2014! I’ve set a goal for myself to read 30 books this year. With work (and life) being so busy, I think 30 books is a safe enough number to try and achieve for my reading challenge. A bit more than the last, but not too much. 😀
As for 2013, I challenged myself to read 20 books and managed to read 23. Better than I expected!
I think these are the highlights of my reading in 2013. I’ve written reviews for some of them, and I’m hoping to do a few of the others this year.
Apparently, someone heard Hazy saying something about trying to scare brave Weatherly for Halloween. And this someone told a someone who thought it was a good idea and a nice prank…
Hazy thinks those two learned their lesson. 😀 Don’t you think?
When I got home from work, I was supposed to publish a post reviewing The House of Hades. But then, I was too tired and sleepy to reorganize my hazy mind to write a coherent post and then proofread. I remembered I wrote a few notes, but when I saw the Post-it, I could not understand some of my handwriting! 😆 Alas, I had written down notes too hastily while I was reading.
Can you decipher some of the
squiggly lines words I wrote?
And so, I have decided to just organize my thoughts (and draft) later in the morning, after a good night’s rest (because my eyes seem to be begging to stay closed now). But before I go, let me share what my friend and I had for dinner at an Asian fusion restaurant to welcome a work-free weekend.
Pho Beef Noodle Soup and Fried Vegetable Spring Rolls
They were pretty good, especially the vegetable spring rolls. I like spring rolls. Do you?
Have a nice weekend, everyone! 🙂
