Hello, 2014! I’ve set a goal for myself to read 30 books this year. With work (and life) being so busy, I think 30 books is a safe enough number to try and achieve for my reading challenge. A bit more than the last, but not too much. 😀
As for 2013, I challenged myself to read 20 books and managed to read 23. Better than I expected!
I think these are the highlights of my reading in 2013. I’ve written reviews for some of them, and I’m hoping to do a few of the others this year.
It’s that time of the week again when I’m feeling haiku-ish!
Book Summary and Thoughts in Haiku on: Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
A talent quite rare
Mo and Meggie doth possess
Magic comes with price
Reading books out loud
Characters come to life — Whaaat?!
A blessing or curse?
Appear in our world
Such wicked villains, oh no!
Back to book, must send
Mo and Meggie, think!
Find way, restore what should be
Dustfinger, you intrigue me
*Whew* That was challenging! I’m not so sure this made much sense… Oh, fudge, I think I went over the count on the last line! Oh, well. 😆
